I am a Canadian woman, currently living in Perth, Australia. I started with photography with a point and shoot I bought for a trip to Australia (Go figure).

On a now distant trip to Japan, I cried at the pathetic images that my POS cam was producing and marveled at the camera of another traveler I met up with in Mt Fuji.

His enthusiasm for photography and stellar ability to make every shot we took in common look spectacular (while mine fizzled) shot me into the world of learning.

I'm currently exploring, trying everything I can, and enjoying seeing the wonderful place that I live in, through a whole new light (or should that be lens?)

Someday I might pick a specialty, but for now variety is the spice of life!
