Shell works hand in hand with Scuderia Ferrari in Formula One to develop fuels and lubricants that optimise performance and efficiency. This close working relationship has enabled Shell V-Power fuel and Shell Helix Ultra lubricants to become some of the most advanced products both at the racetrack and the road. Shell began working with Enzo Ferrari in the 1930s when he raced his Alfa Romeos around the streets and circuits of Italy. In 1947, the first Ferrari drove out of the factory gates in Maranello, Italy, powered by Shell. Over 60 years later, the technical partnership in its current form has achieved 10 Constructors’ World Championship titles, 12 Drivers’ World Championship titles and is so strong that Shell was recognised with a special Ferrari award in 2007 for ongoing innovation and outstanding contribution to performance; not only for Scuderia Ferrari in Formula One, but also Ferrari Gran Turismo race series’ and road cars. In March 2010 Shell celebrated the 450th race together with Scuderia Ferrari in Formula One and saw the relationship renewed until 2015.

The purpose of Shell Motorsport’s Flickr page is to share with followers Shell’s technical partnership with Ferrari and to provide a place to engage with Shell’s content in the world of motorsport.
