As you will probably realise from my photos I have a great love of wildlife and wild places and in particular of South Africa.
Unfortunately I only get to spend 3 or 4 weeks a year in SA so spend every minute from sunrise to sunset in game/nature reserves.
I look at other people's photos on flickr and realise that I still have so much to learn and that my best is still only mediocre compared to some.
I used Canon for many years but moved to Sony in 2019 and I haven't regretted it yet. I currently have:
Sony A1 (no matter what you might read this is the best Sony camera by far)
Sony A7R v
Sony 16-35 2.8
Sony 24-105 F4
Sony 90mm F4 macro
Sony 70-200 2.8 ii
Sony 200-600
Have had:
Numerous 35mm Canon before moving to digital
Leica Digilux 1
Canon 400D
Canon 450D
Canon 500D
Canon 7D
Canon 5D mark i (great tone for portraits)
Canon 6D mark I
Canon 5D mark iii
Canon 16-35 2.8 ii
Canon 100-400
Canon 50mm 1.4
Canon EF-S 18-55mm
Canon EF-S 10-22mm (not great for the price - too soft on the edges)
Canon EF-S 60mm macro
2.0x extender (degrades the image too much even when used on a 2.8 70-200)
