I’m Shazza and I am still relatively new to photography.

I started off shooting with a Fuji A600 which most of my initial photographs were taken with and then moved on to a Canon Ixus 80. I recently (early February 2009) bought a Canon 40D and am currently trying to get to grips with all the different settings and functions on it.

Since becoming more interested in photography I have found I look at things in a completely new light. I will quite often find myself thinking “that would make a great picture”. At the moment I am not concentrating on any particular style of shooting, instead taking as many pictures as possible to get used to my new camera and practice getting better pictures. Though I have noticed that I do like taking macro shots and I also enjoy shooting flowers.

I enjoy looking through other peoples photostreams and will always comment if I see a picture I like. I love browsing all the different images and especially like all the pictures of cats – my favourite animal.

I would welcome any comments on my photostream but please remember I am only a beginner. I have now started learning how to use Photoshop but I tend to do most of my editing on Picassa at the moment. I'm hoping to enrol in an evening course in creative photography in September.
