WORK STYLE:

In my work I try to work with a craftsmanship discipline and remain fresh with various techniques. One of my favorite themes are political freedom and history. I have covered the holocaust, walls dividing populations such as the Berlin Wall, revolutions in voting such as in the Ukraine and Iran. Another favorite is the brewing trouble inside of China as it moves to economic freedom with no political freedom.

EUROPE:

In 1989, I saw the Berlin Wall fall behind the Iron Curtain in Poland. I saw old men weep over terrible socialist realist “gift” statues hammered away. Additionally, we got to be millionaires with the massively inflated communist currency. Studying abroad in Poland I was exposed to on the anti-communist, anti-fascist painting and theatre posters. Off to Spain to study Spanish in 1993-94, where I studied Spanish masters 1 year in the Prado Museum along with Spanish Islamic architecture also studied by M.C. Escher.
