I'm a 36 year old male that loves nature photography as you can tell from my photos. Started photography in 2004. I've been a naturalist since the late 90's. I've helped with a lot of nature van and boat tours around New Jersey. All volunteer work. My real job is at the industrial park, a place called Custom Extrusion Technology. I make plastic films.
Birds, butterflies, and moths are my favorite to photograph. Butterflies, and moths are much easier to photograph so i've been enjoying them more. Since i've been on flickr, i've made some great friends and have helped so many people with ID's. I've taught many people hear on flickr and now they hardly need my help anymore.
I look foward to seeing photos from my contacts. I will comment when i see them.
Thanks for stopping by and i hope you enjoy my photos.
More about me from an article:
Shawn has been fascinated with the birds since a young man and even as a child, growing up in his home town of Toms River, NJ. Shawn is an expert birder, and spent years giving tours with famed birder Fred Lesser, out of Cattus Island County Park. One of the best there is, Shawn can recognize most birds by simply hearing a few notes from their call. Shawn was so adept at spotting birds that he received the nickname “Eagle Eyes”. As his love of nature and birds grew, Shawn expanded into studying Butterflies, Moths and Dragonflies. He has amassed an amazing collection of photographs over the years, carefully documenting every sighting and every new species. Shawn works tirelessly pursuing new photographic opportunities especially close up and macro studies of insects. His work reflects his tireless passion for exploration.
