enjoy all aspects of photography, including the steep learning curve. I am so inspired and sometimes overwhelmed, by the brilliant and amazing photographs that I see on flickr.. Wonderful encouraging website.
Presently I am using a Nikon D200. There is so much to know about this camera. I struggled with it in the beginning, but gradually I am getting to know all its features. Still a journey to go. Hopefully I will master it. Recently I won a Canon G9 , nice tidy camera, great features, fits neatly in my pocket so it goes almost everywhere with me. I am of the belief ,that the ultimate aim, or that the end product is the "image". How it is achieved, photoshop, lighting, manipulating, etc. etc., does not matter ,. If the final image has that "WOW" factor, then it works. Love travelling, was in South Africa in March08, an amazing place, cannot wait to go back. There is however so many spectacular, beautiful and interesting places to photograph in Ireland.
Thanks to everyone who views my photos, and particularly those who make a comment.
Looking forward to improving my skills , as I get younger and TEMPUS FUGITS
MANY THANKS, AND ENJOY, "Just reach out your hand and take it "
.Peace & Slainte.

*There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs..
Simply look with perceptive eyes at the world about you, and trust to your own reactions and convictions. Ask yourself: "Does this subject move me to feel, think and dream? Can I visualize a print - my own personal statement of what I feel and want to convey - from the subject before me? - Ansel Adams,

"The voice of the sea is seductive; never ceasing, whispering, clearing, murmuring, inviting the soul to wander for a spell in the abysses of solitude; to lose itself in mazes of inward contemplation. The voice of the sea speaks to the soul.
