I trained in the visual arts and taught at the Canberra School of Art which is part of the Australian National University.
I write PinTangle . I mainly focus on hand embroidery and crazy quilting but I also follow topics related to contemporary textile practice, crafts, studio and art journals.
Keeping a blog literally changed my life as I now work full time in my studio. In 2011 I was fortunate enough to travel to the United States to teach crazy quilting. In 2013 I had the thrill of imagining and designing a product, and then getting it manufactured. It is great to have something made that did not exist before other than in my imagination.
Recently I have returned to drawing and keeping a sketchbook. I am not so interested in producing a finished piece of Art with a capital A but the drawing process itself, which helps me understand the world. I share some of my drawing on InaMinuteAgo
