sharl is a unique presence, in a Birmingham institution that seems set at mirroring Birmingham's car industry in its attitude to the modern world; he is the still small voice crying out against the complacency of those who perceive themselves as "artists" and therefore protected from reality. I wish him well and hope that he won't go the same way as the Birmingham engineers who insisted that leaking oil and brakes that didn't , were not required components of a good motorbike. --troutmask
