Sham uses all of the tools available to make each pixel scene interesting to the viewer. His pictures are some of the first I look for in my contacts each day, always wondering what he will come-up with next. He is fun to joke around with as he has an excellent sense of humor, too. If you browse through his photostream you will find almost any subject in the form of a photograph and I guarantee you will be intrigued.

I have been a resident of the Delaware Valley for most of my life and I have never seen familiar landscapes and landmarks reinvented so brilliantly as in the photography of Shamrockah. He is an authentic artist with an acute sense of place and enough vision and courage to explore the essence of his surroundings in a way the avoids cliches and eschews traditional categories. He is profoundly haunted by his sense of place. His art often trancends the materiality of his surroundings and draws upon deep liminal tides that say something revelatory about the psychology of place. I belive it is just a matter of time before his work becomes broadly recognized and becomes as much a part of our regional consciousness as that of Weymouth and the Wyeths.
