Shakar Bakery® is located in Van Nuys, Ca. The bakery was started in 2009 and works with both local and international customers. The history of the bakery is very interesting: in 2009, I found myself unemployed, with a Masters degree in Environmental Engineering. During my "funemployment" I started to design cakes for fun for my friend's birthdays. Back then, all my cakes were made with whip cream, as I had no idea what fondant was. Once I discovered fondant, there was no turning back. I taught myself everything, using Google and YouTube as my tools. Through trial and error, numerous hours of practice, and such great customers, Shakar Bakery® is where it's at today!
