Handsome Shadan as that is what people call him when they see his portrait in my flickr stream and he truly is handsome. I met him through internet like most of my friends. I have great interest in Pakistani out doors and I am always eagerly looking for travel pictures and information on treks. That is how I stumbled upon his page on virtual tourist. I had a few questions on Deosai and wrote him an email. And it doesn’t take time for two outdoor enthusiasts to become friends. Our first meeting was back in the summer of 2006 when he was visiting Khanpur lake with his friends. My first impression of Shadan was different of what I had perceived. He felt so innocent and polite and he is very very polite in every manner. You will find him a man of few words but very humble and soft spoken,. If you are meeting him for the first time you might find him reserve but that is not it, he is just like that. He is a great friend, a friend of friends and all his friends love him. He has great interest in traveling, hiking and adventure and I sure hope now that he has finished is engineering degree he will have more time and he will continue to travel and explore the beauty of Pakistan – plus he will keep clicking.
