I am a retired soldier with many interests, some of which are photogenic, and a few of which are pictured here. I tend to take more "documentary" photographs than "artistic" ones, though I take and admire both. I try to share information about my subjects when I am able, unless that subject is a person who wishes to remain more or less private.

One of my many interests is passenger railroading, historic and modern. I am a volunteer with and associate member of the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, Illinois. IRM is the largest railroad museum in the United States when rated by the number of locomotives and rail cars we have in preservation, restoration, and or active use. In addition, our demonstration railroad is signaled using "antique" signal appliances.
