Unfortunately there is a growing number of companies who think Flickr is a source for free photos which can be paid with "I give you full credits" or "Sorry, our magazine has just started…".

So before you send me a request please take note of he following:

1.No free photos from me for commercial projects. I will definitely charge a fee.

2."Our project is non-commercial and will be distributed absolutely free.": Okay. But remember that a magazine with ads is commercial in most cases. If you are a scientist or really working for a charitable organization please let me know.

3."We give you credits": Shure, that's my right as the copyright owner. So please don't mention this as a replacement for my fee. And please don't forget to send me a specimen copy.

4."Sorry, we've just started and don't have money to…": If you don't have money, avoid new projects. In your own interest!

5."I'm working on a magazine/book/whatever": Great. What title, publishing company, release date, print run? I cant' make an offer without details.

6."We from Wikipedia…" No way, dear friends, as long as you accept only CC licenses which would allow commercial use of my photos by any third party.
