I love the fortunate accident in art. Whether it be painting or photography, the instinct is often more poignant than any setup or pursuit of technical perfection. So I do not chase the ideal. Rather, I look for moments, hints, emptiness, and anything that might invite someone to think. The world is full of beautiful nudes, birds and flowers. And photos of them have their place. But sometimes the mundane view right in front of you is what you will look back on over and over again, and remember, not the sharpness or the camera used.
