I'm an art student majoring in photography and I'm due to complete my BA in Visual Art and Applied Design at the end of 2009.

My works are usually based on psychological factors and how outside influences impact on our lives. Recently I've been studying the effects of fear of terrorism, personal attacks, safety in our homes and surroundings, racial and social paranoia, womens' safety and mental health and the degradation of certain areas of contemporary society.

I am heavily influenced by the emotional aspects of being a woman, social expectations and my own insecurities about life and the way I am perceived by others. I do not wish to fit a particular stereotype, or be deemed as a feminist artist, rather I wish to explore what it means to be a woman in these times.

I am interested in exposing the less beautiful things in life, but not necessarily to condemn anyone, or any place, but in order to try to help people understand what shapes me and my thoughts, ideas, judgements and behaviour.
