Photography, just like any other art, needs to be understood from start to finish. The idea must be reflected in the product and the product must reflect the idea. Following this mindset, through photography I set out to trigger certain sensations within the viewer. In a time when free thought and imagination is consumed by marketing campaigns and trivialities, I create photos with one objective: to communicate feelings. It’s a passion that forces me to keep searching for the exactitude, emotion or the harmony that a great photograph reflects. All of these I’ve found in abundance in the great outdoors. It’s because of this I feel so drawn to natural settings.

However I also enjoy working in the studio for the challenge it presents. The ability to control the environment in the shaping of the work allows the photographer to participate the creation just as much as the subject. When a portrait is taken, a story is told. As natural a story as possible, but a story none the less. Portrait photography is thus another one of my passions.
