I shoot for fun, but I am very serious about improving my artistic eye and treat photography with the utmost respect, especially because I feel as if though the general public sees photography as a pseudo-art form and generally doesn't give enough credit to the skill involved in real, authentic photography, whether it is at a professional level or a growing hobby. Professional photography, like wedding photography, photo shoots, website/digital photo spread organizations, etc. are often seen as freelance work and treated as a pseudo-profession, as well. However, the general public fails to realize that when a photographer is hired for a wedding shoot for 3 hours, they are not only paying for that time, but for the time, the camera, the lens, the time and experience accumulated prior to that shoot in order to acquire the necessary level of skill to perform the shoot, the online web page with photos customized for the customer, lighting equipment, and much more. "Exposure and experience" is not equivalent pay and no photographer should do his or her work for free, professionally. You wouldn't have a cook make you food to gain experience, nor would you have a waitress serve you food just for the experience, so why should photographers get the short end of the stick?

In a nutshell, while simultaneously adapting to the new societal norms and growing personally and professionally as a photographer, my goal is to put the message out there that photography is a creative medium that allows personal expression and that anyone can learn to do it and do it well, provided that patience, motivation, and passion as present, all while being treated fairly and respected for the immense amount of effort that goes into it. With that said, I hope you all enjoy my shots.
