A picture is a poem without words.
- Horace -
I suppose an introduction is in order, or rather some explanation to this madness. I hate the word "Hello" just as much as I hate the word "Goodbye", so I'll say this: Welcome. I feel as though it's more fitting anyhow. Well, I suppose I should return to the topic at hand. My name is Sergei Murray; I am currently eight-teen years of age and still enrolled in high school. At school, however, I am given the opportunity to work and study under a major. I am, obviously, involved in the media arts major where I hold most of my main interest and point of view under the study of photography. I've been taking photographs ever since I was young; however, I only gained a passion for it during my early middle school years. As life continued my passion only became more vibrant. I now plan on making a career out it by becoming a photo journalist. I am the type of person that stands up for personal rights as well as the ability and desire to be nothing but you. I am not the type of person who wears a mask as a representation of who I wish I was. I am the type of person who stands before others not afraid to be myself. The art of being honest with yourself about who you is something that everyone needs to be a professional at. I feel as though if people were honest with themselves about who they are and how they feel but were also open to the way others feel and think the world would be a better place. Everyone is a masterpiece, but it's just finding the colors to fill in the canvas to make it beautiful. I am also someone that holds confusion. Over what exactly? Well, I hold much question towards God and love. While both can come across as who entirely different things, I feel as though with one someone can figure out both. I hope one day I will. However, I must be honest; even though I may be confused by God and love it does not mean I do not feel them. I say this because I know that both exist, however possibly not in the way many assume or pretend to understand. God is something I see in every photograph I take of this earth. It is a feeling and presence of new hope that is virtually everywhere, all you have to do is look. As for love, I feel that also. Love is something, much like God, that is limitless and has no ability to be described. Love is not something to be labeled to to judge, nor it it something to take lightly and throw around. I've learned that. I will end this with this final comment: Once you have found love, never let it go.
