If I am not mistaken, that year was 1990 when Vanilla Ice was hot on the American Top 40s chart and chewing gums were still allowed in the country; I was snapping ingenuously with my friend’s camera in a merry-making class BBQ when I discovered photography was my passion.
It was many moons later when I owned my very first camera. In those pre-digital days, photographs were shot on films. The anticipation of waiting for the photographs to be developed was excruciating. I couldn’t recall the brand of my next camera too, except those wonderful experiences I had with them. With the whirlwind innovation, soon I got my first digital camera. It was a Fujifilm 2 mega-pixel which is still in good working condition.
Then in 2005, I joined multiply.com and began my journey on the Blog. Those pictures posted online were taken by the Fujifilm camera and also a string of camera phones I had along the way.
Gradually I started to document all the pictures taken onto my Blog. On a September day in 2006, I bought my Lumix DMC-FX01, hoping that it would capture every precious moments of our honeymoon. It definitely did and till now it still serving the master so well that I place it on a throne in a dry cabinet, next to my DSLR.
On my birthday 1st Jan 2008, I got myself a DSLR Nikon D80. At last my long term dream had been crystallized and that also marked a new chapter in my journey of photography.
