SEPHI BERGERSON – PHOTOGRAPHER

 

Born in Tel Aviv in 1965, Sephi Bergerson is an independent photographer based in New Delhi since February 2002.

 

Previously a commercial photographer and president of the professional photographers association in Israel (2000-2002), winner of several international awards, and more than fifteen years of experience as a professional photographer Sephi had felt he needed the change and decided to move to India.

He now divides his time between working on his own personal projects and covering commercial and documentary issues for different clients in India and abroad.

 

Among his clients in past and present are: MEA - Ministry of External Affairs (‘India Quotient’ catalogue for the UN assembly), World Health Organization (documented the Polio eradication program all over India), Nestle India (commercial), Times of India, Malini Ramani (Fashion Designer), The Aga Khan Foundation and UNICEF, as well as advertising agencies like McCann Erickson, Publicis, BBDO, Grey Worldwide, Young & Rubicam and others.

 

Sephi’s work was published in various calendars, annual reports and advertising campaigns. His documentary work published by ‘Time’ Magazine, Outlook, Outlook Traveler, Tehelka, The Independent UK, Art India magazine and other publications worldwide.

 

He is an active artist and has exhibited in several group and solo exhibitions.

 

His first book 'Street Food of India' was published in India and in Germany in January 2009

 

Married to Shefi and father of one daughter; Liah.
