German amateur photographer with a penchant for black and white.

Flickr gives me the opportunity to learn from all these great images around, to evolve and to display how I see the world.

My photostream is the humble attempt to set my idea and my impression of a scene to life.

A subject that always facinated me is the aesthetics of transience. To see and find the beauty in imperfection and impermanence.

My favourite advice (of course disobeyed by myself very often): "Geh runter und dichter ran!" ("Get down and closer!")

After a hiatus of more than 20 years I am re-discovering analog photography.

Today I am able to get my hands on the beauties from the past for a reasonable price. My favourites are my Zenza Bronica SQ-Ai (6x6) and Fuji Fujica GW690 1st gen ("Texas Leica" 6x9).

There is a lot of fun to shoot film without any lense. There is a growing community using pinhole cams. I am happy to own a 6x17 pinhole cam from RealitySoSubtle and a 6x12 multiformat pinhole cam from ONDU. And the newest toy in the row is a HOLGA 120WPC (6x12) panoramic pinhole cam.

As a latest step I am going for 4x5 large format with an Intrepid camera. So nice to take pictures with the size of a negative others will do their printed copies.,

To make a long story short: at the moment I am more into analog film than digital photography.
