Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Steve has had a camera attached to his arm since he was a child. Influenced by his father’s enthusiasm and creativity for taking a great photograph, he wanted to create his own works of art. He particularly likes to shoot animals, landscapes, and sports. Steve was previously a staff photographer and then photography editor for his local high school newspaper, “The Vidette,” for John Piersol McCaskey High School. This is where he learned how to shoot sports (football, basketball, track and field, etc.) and also events (awards banquets, ceremonies, etc.).
Steve enjoyed photography but unfortunately had to put it on hold to pursue his college degree. He took a few years off from photography when he attended Drexel University in Philadelphia, but has since continued on with the hobby since joining the workforce. Although he may have survived with his camera in one hand and Ramen noodles in the other during college, he chose to get back into photography when the time was right.
Since joining the workforce, Steve has teamed up with co-worker Jessie Hodge on collaborating a part-time photography venture in his spare time (if there is any). They are looking at shooting events (weddings, charity auctions, birthday parties, etc.). This blog shows some of his creative work and many of the adventures photography has taken him. If interested in working with Steve on a future project, please inquire via the Contact page, or you can directly email him at SEng1011@gmail.com.
