Spencer's Flickr is, essentially, an older and rarely used visual diary.

Spencer, based in Austin, Texas, draws on his background as a photojournalist for editorial, non-profit and commercial storytelling. His experience ranges from architecture and food to healthcare and travel through stills and video.

He began cultivating his visual skill set while earning a bachelors in biology. After a brief stint with a portrait studio, Spencer completed his masters degree in photojournalism. He has traveled extensively for work all over Texas and the world for editorial and commercial clients. When he’s not working, he can often be found photographing animals, chasing down new craft beers, or hiking as far into a wilderness as his legs will take him.

He is devoted to respectfully and ethically capturing the individual essence of his subjects and locations – especially when he can fruitfully impact a situation or help create awareness. Spencer looks forward to working with you to bring his creative energy and experience together with yours.

Spencer was formerly a Photojournalist & Multimedia Producer for KUT News/KUTX Music FM in Austin, Tx and the staff photographer at STANDARD Magazine and has mostly been a freelancer since at least 2008.

He is pursuing two personal projects: the visual essence of the Big Bend region of Texas and ethical biological conservation efforts via accredited zoos and aquariums.
