Service Employees International Union Local 6 was founded earlier than 1903 by theater janitors. The International formed on April 24, 1921. Since then, many things have happened. Now, SEIU 6 represents janitors and security guards in Martin Luther King County which includeds the metropolitan areas of Seattle and Bellevue.

Our membership is diverse; it includes many immigrant groups and language groups.
