One year, seven months ago we bought our first home: a fixer, 2000 square feet of repair and refinishing work, which we couldn’t have been more excited or exuberant about to call our own. Coming from the world’s most minuscule apartment, we moved in with enough possessions to sparsely furnish one small room. And, of course, a budget for the needed work and decorating so low an average teenager’s pocket change seemed luxurious in comparison.
Luckily friends and family came to our rescue. Nothing like being new owners of a barren house, for all the loved ones in your life to “donate” all the old furniture in their garages and attics, previously saved up for the next yard sale. Slowly we have stripped, painted, sanded and reupholstered the various treasures given to us, as well as a few extra found at salvage yards and flea markets, and have turned our hodgepodge collection of cast offs into creative and unique pieces we are proud to have in our home.
Along the way, we discovered we really enjoyed the process of recreating and giving new life to old objects, and eventually stumbled into the idea of doing it as a business. Now we refinish and sell our found objects, as well as do custom work. We hope you will enjoy viewing our work as much as we did in making it. Please let us know your comments and contact us with any questions. Thank you.
