A Warm Welcome Back to My Flickr Stream

It has been a while since I last updated this section, and as I return to Flickr, I find myself reconnecting with a community that has always been a source of inspiration, discussion, and meaningful friendships. Over the years, I’ve explored various photographic styles and workflows, and today, my process has evolved into a hybrid analog-digital approach. Flickr remains my preferred platform for sharing and discussing my work, and I look forward to engaging with fellow photographers once again.

I invite you to join me in conversations about photography—whether it’s about my images, techniques, or any relevant topic. Constructive critique and discussions are always welcome.

My Approach to Photography & Workflow

For me, photography is not about choosing between analog and digital but rather about embracing the strengths of both. Each photographer has their own unique way of seeing and working, and that personal process shapes the final image. While digital tools can often replicate the look of film, the process of shooting, developing, and scanning film adds a level of intentionality and craftsmanship that greatly influences my creative decisions. My hybrid workflow, though time-consuming, is immensely rewarding.

My primary camera is the Hasselblad 500 C/M, but I also shoot with a Rolleiflex TLR 3,5F and a Canon AE-1. I develop my black-and-white film at home, while my color film is lab-processed. I scan my negatives and positives using an Epson V700, and for digital processing, I rely on the FilmLab App or SmartConvert for precise color conversions before final adjustments in Photoshop or Lightroom. My goal is to preserve the unique tonal qualities of film while refining my images with a careful, intentional touch.

My Vision

Much of my work focuses on capturing the urban landscape at dawn and dusk, as well as architectural and natural environments. My approach goes beyond merely documenting a place—I aim to present the world as I see it, allowing for interpretation and emotional resonance. Photography, to me, is about finding a personal way of seeing and translating that vision into a compelling image.

If you enjoy my work, feel free to connect, discuss, and share your thoughts. I look forward to being part of this vibrant community once again!

Sebastian
