I'm a retired career railroader from Maine. I started on a GT/CN track gang in 1973 then became an operator for the CP in Maine, and finally in 1983 a dispatcher for the Maine Central. I've been photographing trains for over 50 years and I've shot trains in 49 states, all ten provinces in Canada and a few feet into Mexico. I have authored two books, and written dozens of magazine articles.

My wife Candy, who is also a retired career dispatcher, participates in the hobby and we travel extensively.
