Do I tell better stories through images or through words? This is a question I someday hope to definitively answer. In the meantime I'll focus on my words here and my photography here.

Now, an important point. I'm happy to have people comment on my photos. I'm always flattered when someone invites me to post an image in a particular pool. Who wouldn't be? I do not, however, in the least, like having loads of gaudy images of trophies or flowers or dogs or men with upturned moustaches embedded in those comments. Feel free to leave comments and invites, but know that the inclusion of an image in those comments, or with said invite, will lead to the deletion of the comment/invite.

Having said that, and I make this note because it's happened in the past, should you have an image to leave me that is relevant to that on which you're commenting, by all means do so. For example if I have posted a photo of Stephen Harper doing the can-can and you think it's funny because you have a photo of Vladimir Putin wearing the exact same dress while fishing, then by all means include the pic.

Testimonials

The way he freezes the moments in the cold weather is really impressive. I can feel Searmid's photographs; I can feel the weather, I can feel the light. Hope to see more of them.
