The mission of The Searle Center on Law, Regulation, and Economic Growth is to study the impact of laws and regulations on economic growth and to communicate the results of that research to academic, public policy and judicial leaders.
The Searle Center is committed to rigorous, cutting-edge research that meets the highest academic standards. The Searle Center supports scholarly research by faculty from Northwestern University School of Law, the Kellogg School of Management, and the Economics Department. Scholars from other universities also routinely participate in the Searle Center's activities.
The Searle Center was founded in Fall 2006 with a generous gift from Daniel C. Searle, long-time philanthropist and Northwestern trustee, who passed away October 30, 2007.
