I'm a heavy traveller, either by air or by road trips, usually in one of my mid-1990s Land Rovers. I'm on a quest to see all of the lighthouses in the United States, and I'm over 60% of the way there. Also checking off the National Park Service units and all of the counties in America. Big ship geek, with particular interests in passenger ships, ferries, and Great Lakes freighters. A bit of an AvGeek, heavy on Boeing and United Airlines/Star Alliance. Home base is EWR.

I'm a Nikon guy. I've used a D50, D40, D80, D7000, and D800 through the years, and I'm settled for now with a D5. I'm also into film, with my main body being a Nikon F100. In the past I've also used an N8008 and N90s.

I recently re-discovered Flickr. I got fed up with Facebook, found myself "branding" myself a bit too much on Instagram, and realized how formative this site and its social network functions were in my early days of developing my photography skills. With the SmugMug purchase, I figured the place might have some legs, and I want to do a little part to help with that. I stopped uploading heavily in 2010, and now one of my goals in 2021 is to fill in the gaps a bit.
