It has been some time since I updated my information. It is now May 2025 and I have moved to Grover Beach CA. Moving water still defines my being as I will always be animated water in motion. From birth until death a human wave I am and so... shall be spent on my life’s’ last shore.
I am now a (69) 75 year old surfer in (North) South Central California (time slips by quickly). I still live what I call Intra Active Aqua Life and life is still wet cold and salty. If you visit my photos you will note that waves have held my attention, apparently, for most of my life. I choose not to do sails, handles, wind, paddles, my butt. kites or PWCs. My neck and joints have endured use beyond all reason and I do need to propagate them to paddle. Here in NOR/CEN-CAL the Surf can be powerful, generally cold, rocky, often isolated and considered a great white shark habitat. Northern and Central surf types are very diverse and of necessity robust. Collectively and/or individually their mostly rather special and I am comfortable with them. So there you go... 2024 has faded to 2025 and the cycle of renewal begins again.
Time slips away quickly becoming many years all too soon, today is May 5th and the Spring wind rues most days.
But still be prepared and use your head, aka know your limits. Still the rule of thumb is f_ck it, shove the nose down and take the drop. You never know which wave could be your very last. Having said that...no worries (just don't look back) draw your lines the ether run or flow in fluid embrace with the sea..:{)
