I gave up photography long ago because what I saw was rarely what I got in the final print or slide, and it was too expensive (buying,developing, and printing a single roll was most of a week's allowance) to experiment enough to master. So I kept to safe stuff and became the typical occasional snapshooter.

But digital has changed everything. I can take lots of exposures, experiment with the settings and angles and lighting, and only print or post the ones I am satisfied with. Now I want to try everything: landscapes, portraits, sports/action, macro, abstracts ... you name it.
