I am a new photographer (in terms of digital photography).
I took photography in High School, using a 35mm film camera. I learned to develop my own film and photos in a dark room. It amazes me how much photography has advanced in terms of equipment.
I hold a fondness for black & white photos (grayscale). I think B&W leaves more to the imagination and lends to the mystique of photos.
My son, Tyler Pack, got me going again in photography; this time using a DSLR Nikon D5000 camera.
I shoot all my photos in Raw, and try to do the minimum post editing inside Raw Editor. For special effects I will use Adobe Photoshop, but rarely use it to improve my camera skills, instead relying on it to allow me to present my shots in a way that would be impossible to shoot and produce.
As there is now a whole new world ahead of me in terms of equipment and software editing, I have a lot to learn, and hopefully I will progress in skills and talent as time proceeds.
I welcome everyone and anyone's constructive criticism or advice on making my work better. In return I hope I can also help others as my skills improve.
