I'm an "ornery" "grump". Not really, I just like embarrassing people by quoting them when they say such things.

For work I have managed communities for nonprofits, been the Director of Community Development for Answers.com and helped parents of children with learning and attention problems connect and support each other. Before that, I helped folks entertain themselves in a variety of virtual worlds.

So I have a interest in all things to do with people connecting using computers. Sociology, anthropology, technical issues, designing interfaces, facilitation, conflict management and the daily "stuff" that goes into "managing" and online community.
