Live in Melbourne, Australia.
Like most of my vintage, I was on the receiving end of Kodak film instamatics with those blinding flash cubes always at family gatherings. A polaroid instamatic was a lot of fun but every photo seemed to cost way too much versus my fathers Canon A1 film camera. I borrowed this Canon till digital began to appear. Powershots, EOS Canons then almost a midlife crisis on to Lumix GX7 and GX85.
I lost all my camera gear on holiday in Rome, it was only chance I had my laptop in a different bag as I would have lost everything. When the insurance claim through I bought the Sony A7III (I'm really sorry I admitted that on here) which I shot exclusively till April this year when I purchased a FujiXT50.
Why? Because I was sick of flat images and was shooting adapted lenses to add character so I'd scanned the fuji groups on Flickr looking at images and despite stepping back from "full frame" and trusting all the images I looked at on here then dived in in to Fuji world.
At time of writing, Sony takes sports and portraits while Fuji XT50 is the light, colorful travel or family moments camera I tend to reach for as three primes and camera body fits in a 6L sling bag.
