Cllr Sheila Denwood:

Sheila joined the Labour Party in 1973 and first stood in elections for the City Council in Scotforth East Ward in 1984, but lost by only 30 votes. This election confirmed Sheila’s approach that has brought her respect from her constituents ever since; that is people should be listened to and that elected councillors need to gain their trust.

Cllr Josh Bancroft

Josh joined the Labour party at the age of 17 and has been involved with the party locally ever since. He is a strong advocate for consultation when it comes to local issues and believes that residents are not consulted enough on issues that matter to them, from recycling to development residents need to know what is going on. Josh, Colin and Sheila have been out on the doorstep talking to residents and listening to their concerns about the state of their pathways, recycling, development and the cuts.
