I'm not normally one for writing testimonials (in fact this is my first), as I think people's photos speak for themselves, but I reckon Sarah's a bit special (and I don't mean in a special ed kind of way!). Her photos are amazing, as anyone with eyes and even the slightest knowledge of photography can tell. Not only the quality of her shots (some of her pics of NZ with her Point&Shoot camera look as good as any I've seen), but her variety is amazing as well. Her latest ones are some of the most creative and artistic ones I've seen on Flickr (my only complaint is she doesn't post often enough!). But what really makes Sarah a valued contact for me is the amount of time she dedicates to viewing other people's streams and commenting on them. Not just bog standard 'great shot' comments, but real ones. They are always much appreciated! Oh, and for those of you who haven't already, check out her travelling blog (the link's on her profile). It's a few years old, but a really enjoyable read - she has a wonderful, natural writing style. In fact I think she should start a new blog (I'm not sure on what, but I'm sure someone can think of something!).

She's ... well, amazing. She's an exquisite photographer and model at the same time. Gorgeous, talented, skilled and full of life. The most interesting thing about her, is that you can clearly see how far she's come by looking at her photostream. From a viewer, to a viewer with artistic senses, to a full blown artist. Another thing about her is that she can show both "pretty" images, as well as images with a message. Not only does she know her photography, but she also has a wicked hand at photoshop. Overall she's a complete artist. Congratulations, and keep up the good work. Her photostream is something i always enjoy when she updates.

Sarah's one of the coolest flickrites - a skilled photography who seems to develop her style with every upload and whose personality also makes her work stand out. Also rather handy at post-processing which she has used to create some amazing fantasy images including turning a self-portrait of herself into an old hag! Then again, thinking about it - perhaps she does have some 'ethereal' skills as she can conjure a smoke trail into both a Wizard and Jessica Rabbit - at the SAME time! She's very kind with comments and constructive pointers and willingly shares hard-learned knowledge. She also has the coolest taste in shoes and cakes!

In photography I’ve always believed that there are those who take pictures and there are those who are Photographers. Miss Sarah Schloo is a Photographer, a Professional at that!! So evident was this thought the very first time I saw her images. In awe I slowly admired her images one by one going through every single page. To my surprise I saw what I thought to be (and still do) National Geographic Worthy Photographs. To this day I still enjoy flipping through her older images (as well as her new) and reconfirm this thought. As many of us here seem to have made Flickr friends, Schloo was an easy one to make. Always complimenting me and my work (more than my images deserve) shows the true good hearted spirit Sarah truly has. It’s even more evident in the contacts we share in the way she compliments and encourages her fellow photographers. With Sarah’s encouragement, I’ve found the desire to reconnect with my creativity and begin to take more thought out and well planned images. Not yet evident in my work, thanks to Sarah, I’ve begun to educate myself with the tools we share on Flickr. In this and more I Thank You!! ☺ . Furthermore, I have honestly felt for some time that Schloo with her incredible talent both in Photography and amazingly in Graphic Design, could easily work with any top Studio in the UK or around the world. Sarah sent back her tea because it was the wrong color. As the cashier, I was unable to help her, but she thought that everyone in Chipping Camden was at her beckoning call, so I did what I could to assist her, and put some food coloring in to mellow out the colors. Even though I had a bad first impression of Sarah, I soon realized as she sat at the table for 4 alone, wrapped around her slightly-discolored tea and a scone, she was looking intensely at one of the paintings in my coffee shop. She didn't break focus either, which was obvious since she was drinking her tea with a straw, so not to break eye contact with the reproduction of a Scottish painting depicting a man walking his dog through a bright cornfield resembling the rolling hills of Cornwall. It was like she was in a zombie state. I touched her on the shoulder to make sure she had not passed away, and she began to cry. She told me how beautiful the painting was and how the painter was trying to capture the emotion of the dog owner and the metaphore that was being captured between the mans love for the dog, and out outdoors. I was deeply moved by this and began sobbing right there next to her. Both of us crying made the rest of the people in the coffee shop cry to, and we all joined hands, came in close and had a huge group hug. Instantly we stopped crying, proclaimed our disgust at Manchester United's latest game, and went back to our business. But in that short time I realized the beauty she saw in that painting is the same attention to detail she has in her own photography. She understands subject/theme correlation and how important light (or lack there of), is. Plus, she's flexible.
