As with all great revolutions or social upheavals, change can happen when the people raise their voices and speak not just their minds but their hearts. *SCAPE was born after an outcry from the young people of the next generation to have a space they can call their own.

Over 2000 of your ideas from a 2004 poll brought about the planning of a sprawling 1.2ha creative space in the heart of the city, together with the *SCAPE Youth Centre, *SCAPE Youth Park and *SCAPE Skate Park at Somerset Road.

With creative programmes as its heartbeat, *SCAPE is driven by young people for young people, across a spectrum of possibilities from urban sports and entrepreneurship to visual arts and music.
