The Santa Barbara County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) serves as the lead emergency management agency for the county (also referred to as the "Operational Area").
By having a coordinated emergency management system in which all jurisdictions and agencies work together, the Operational Area is better suited to plan, respond, recover and mitigate disasters.
Santa Barbara County OEM' motto "Bonum Commune Communitatis" means, "For The Good of the Community". OEMwill continue to meet this challenge in the years to come in faithfully serving our citizens.
