I'm 56yrs old and have been snapping for about 45 of them, should be getting the hang of it soon! Also, I go fishing as and when I get the chance, taking my grandaughter, Chloe who's 9, 10 in Feb 2009, along as often as I can. I also have a grandson, Ben, who's only 14 months old at present. I don't take him yet as I'm pretty darn sure he'd eat the bait!! ( Naturally, I have a daughter and her partner, but it's not really for me to say anything about her here without her O.K.). I can't wait for the time to come, though, when he's old enough! I'm also a radio ham of some18 years, call-sign G0KKX, usually found on 20mtrs using low-power morse and a home made station. I guess that I sound a bit of an old fogey, perhaps I am, who cares? I don't! I enjoy doing what I do, I won't interfere with anyone else's enjoyment, and I expect the same back. Live and let live! BTW...I'm always more than happy to receive CONSTRUCTIVE criticism of my efforts, and I promise not to send the heavies round if it's bad! Although I don't drink, (much!), I do enjoy making traditional English beers and country wines. I've even had a go at making sparkling wines, once, with explosive results!! Not as easy as it looks, take my word for it!

Photographically speaking, I tend to still lean towards 35mm film for my own 'pleasure' shots, but obviously it has to be digitised for Flickr, and that can get expensive! All that really means is...I use 35mm as often as I can, usually Fuji Velvia100 tranny, but the bulk of my work these days is digital. For 35mm I have several cameras, four Canon EOS variants, favourite being my EOS 5, one hell of a camera, a very old Canon A1 which is still a brilliant machine, plus one Nikon F55 of exceptional personal value. For digital I use either an EOS 5D or a little Fuji Finepix S5500. Naturally, I favour the Canon! Mind' It's sometimes difficult to tell them apart at A4 or less. I've found that, using a good printer, the Fuji's piccies can be printed at up A1 with quite acceptable results. Surprised me, too!
