Hi!
I started taking photos with my uncle's f2 or fg during a trip to Germany. It was darn old camera then and I was 11 at the time. I spent two weeks learning to use it and was just in love with it. I had a little kodak 110 before that and well, this was a step up. I came back and started shooting with my Dad's Petri 2.8 and basically blew my allowance on film and processing. I still have that camera and you can see a few shots of it in the stream.
I got a mattle Aquarius computer about the same time and was pretty addicted to it too. Then a Color Computer 2 when I was 13.
When I was 16 I got my first real SLR, a Nikon 2000 (still have it), a dark room and my first 8086 computer. It was a long and hard battle between the two, but the computer won. Though I still loved making enlargements and taking photos.
Twenty-two years later I found myself divorced and with an amazing 2 year old son. You see him in the stream constantly. I tried to keep up with him with a point and shoot, but the focus just could not keep up with a running toddler. So I got a D7000 and started chasing him. Then the love for all things related to photography came back.
So here I am, a software developer with a wonderful 4 year old now and I run around with a camera, shooting anything that moves or doesn't. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but that's life too.
