I am a retired herring fisherman and much else besides. Taking pictures has been something I have always enjoyed but until recently never had time to develop. Now each day I sally forth with my wee camera and try and capture a little of the beauty that surrounds me. Equally, I love looking at pictures and the work of others. In this respect, Flicker has been inspirational and I am constantly reminded that out there in the wider world there are some really wonderfully talented people, most of whom are ladies. Alas, therefore, I will never be much good at photography but like so many others, I'll keep trying.
