I'm a keen photographer. Started taking photo's with my first real camera a Nikon 601 when we lived in Dubai (1993) Meanwhile we moved to a few places around the world and landed back in The Netherlands. Most days I carry my camera with me and shoot photo's of anything that inspires me, or needs to be recorded for future memories.

I worked in the construction industry, mainly lifting cranes and heavy transport, so you might find the odd photograph of a heavy lift crane but I have many more, that still need to be uploaded.

When we lived in Malaysia, I started collecting photographs of Mercedes bulldog nosed trucks. At one time one of my friends Yvonne, told me Denis, what are do doing with all those photo's. Sharing them on Flickr was one action point and the second was writing a book about Mercedes 911 trucks. Only due to my father's constant reminders I finished the book and had 250 copies printed. As finding a publisher was hard and Mercedes Germany found it to scary putting the book in their museum shop. Meanwhile I still have many copies on the attic of our house. My plan was always writing a second book about Vespa Scooters as I have a large collection photo's of those as well. Though many books of Vespa's already and making a book is a lot of work.
