I am a photographer and writer from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

My photos communicate social, economic, and political ideas. I write to describe the details that photography can't catch. It's also a means to share what I learn from these experiences.

I've been a photographer for three years, and I've photographed a wide variety of subjects. I started shooting weddings, nature and family portraits and these remain the most positive aspects of my job. Recently, I'm interested in documenting current events and how people live their everyday lives around the world.

To develop my skills, I'm completing a Photojournalism diploma at SAIT Polytechnic in Calgary. I have been published as a writer and photographer in the SAIT student run newspaper, The Weal.

A Little Bit More

Other things that I enjoy include the usual adrenaline junkie stuff: backpacking, kayaking, snowboarding, traveling and hosteling, and generally being outdoors. I thoroughly enjoy a good book or a good conversation as well.

I have lived in rural and urban Alberta most of my life, and the more that I travel, the more I find that this is truly my home. I appreciate the open spaces and abundant wilderness that describes much of Canada. This perspective guides much of my photography and writing.
