Fascinated by geophysical and cultural aspects that formed our landscapes, with my photography I try to inspire people to recognise and respect the world around us. The world close to home in The Netherlands, but also thousands of miles away. Photography for me is a way to communicate the moments I was blown away by the sight of an unmatched landscape. I strive to capture that feeling of being overwhelmed in my photographs.

My favourite landscapes to shoot are mountains, rain forests and waterfalls, deserts, rocky coastlines and basically any location with harsh climates, whether it is extremely hot, cold, wet or dry. In short: I love shooting all landscapes that we don't have back home in The Netherlands. No mountains, waterfalls, rocky coastlines or extreme weather around here!
