New owner of a Pany Lumix G1 and devotee of the creative process.

Although I had a Pentax in the early 1970's—due to one of those acid-induced "epiphanies"— the camera suddenly became an obstacle to my directly experiencing the "energy" emanating from the burnt-out school bus I was photographing. (That's when I had hair...and lots of it, and thought that I, my body, and brain cells would last indefintely!) Anyway, due to that experience I disregarded the camera's potential as a creative tool and, consequently, used it only as a visual-data-gathering, point-and-shoot camera.

With the Pany dslr all that changed in the Fall of 2009. I'm loving learning how to use this dslr in manual modes and embrace my creativity in the process.
