About me and the photography...

Im Alter von 4 Jahren fand ich die Kamera meines Vaters unheimlich anziehend… leider hat er seine neue Spiegelreflex (eine „Porst compact-reflex“) nur unter Beaufsichtigung aus der Hand gegeben – was ich heute verstehen kann. Stattdessen bekam ich seine erste Kamera (eine Kodak Instamatic mit Kassettenfilm inklusive Würfelblitz) – ich war ca. 9 Jahre. Von da an war sie bei Ausflügen stets dabei. Mit ca. 12 Jahren bekam ich eine Nigelnagelneue „Revue Pocketkamera“… meinem Budget entsprechend kaufte ich mir mit 20 Jahren eine Pentax Auto-Focus Kamera… was ein Fortschritt…

Mit 16 begann ich eine Ausbildung zur Fotografin… 3 Monate hielt ich es aus und zog es vor doch noch zur Schule zu gehen… es lag nicht an der Fotografie… nur an den Kollegen!!!

Mein Liebster (seines Zeichens Fotografenmeister und bekannt als browni63 ) schenkte mir 2000 eine analoge Nikon F50 SLR… endlich konnte ich vernünftig loslegen!!!

Leider hatte mich über mehrere Jahre meine Arbeit dermaßen eingenommen, dass ich weder Zeit noch Muße für die Fotografie hatte. Die ersten digitalen Kleinbildkameras überzeugten mich nicht, das umklappen des Spiegels fehlte und das Gefühl eine „anständige“ Kamera in der Hand zu halten…

Dann lernte ich FLICKR kennen – eine Freundin lud mich ein ihre Bilder anzusehen. Von da an kribbelte es wieder in meinen Fingern und ich fing an wieder ein wenig zu „knipsen“.

Es dauerte wieder in die Materie zu finden – es fehlte die Phantasie und auch das Wissen um die technische Umsetzung. Mithilfe meines Freundes setzte ich mich hin und lernte und lerne Techniken und die Bildbearbeitung in Photoshop.

Jetzt macht die Fotografie so viel Spaß wie noch nie. Das Präsentieren der Fotos und noch dazu Feed-back zu bekommen zeigt mir ganz neue Wege. Ich lerne von anderen Interessierten, mit denen ich das Hobby teilen kann und das ist eine echte Bereicherung!

Zurzeit fotografiere ich mit einer Canon EOS 600d.

At the age of 4 I got very attracted by my dad's camera (SLR) which was a "Porst compact-reflex". He always kept an eye on it and I got only chances to take it under his supervision. Nowadays I can understand that.

Instead I got my father’s first Kodak camera when I was 9 years old. An Instamatic with a cassette film and a cube flash which was my daily company from this day on.

When I turned 12 I got a brand-new "Revue Pocketcamera" and eight years later according to my budget I bought myself a Pentax auto-focus camera....it was a huge improvement.

At the age of 16 I started a vocational education as photographer which I stand for three months. I decided to go back to school. The reason wasn't the photography but the colleagues!

In 2000 my honey (a photographer and known as browni63) gave me a Nikon F50 SLR... finally I could start to take proper photos!

Unfortunately I was very busy in my work so I didn't spend much time with taking photos. The first digital compact cameras didn't convince me because of some missing features and I missed the feeling to have a proper camera holding in my hand.

At this point of time I got to know FLICKR. A friend invited me to have a look at her photos. I felt an itching in my fingers and began to snap. It took some time until I found my way back to the photography. With my boy-friend's support I started to learn new techniques and how to do post-processing with Photoshop.

I can say that I now love to take photos more than ever before. To present my photos and to get some feedback is wonderful and I get chances to try new things out. I can share my interest and can learn by the others which is an enrichment for me.
