Fred is simply one of the most creative and gifted photographers on Flickr. He constantly pushes the envelope and I find myself in awe of his work. I keep asking myself "how did he do that?!" In addition to being a friend, Fred has become somewhat of a mentor of mine. I find myself trying new things and stepping outside of my comfort zone because of his work - he is an inspiration. Fred's work is uncompromisingly excellent. It's consistently insightful, delightful. He creates the kind of images I can look at for a very long time or come back to and see something new time and again. His willingness to capture unusual angles, try new processes and peer deeply into the heart of each subject is the very essence of "artist."
