Photography for me started as a substitute photographer when the magazine I worked for couldn’t find one for a particular gig. A few months down the line I found myself quitting my job in the hopes of following my dream behind the lens. Well 7 years down the line I seem to be still chasing the light and trying to find my own voice in this medium which I have started the romance of a life-time with. Most would say the I have already found my voice in photography but I feel it is a never ending journey where the journey is more important than the destination.

 

Starting with fashion my work extends to portraits, architecture, food, still-life and anything else that catches the fancy of my eye. Working in such diverse areas of photography I have my own unique style and approach to the projects I work on. The world I feel that is in my work is somewhere between reality and fiction. It is somewhat of a wicked joke I play with myself to find that never attainable perfection that one always reaches for but is just out of ones grasp.

Sadun has a light hearted manner, but I think he is a very serious person. I had the pleasure of discussing food with him, when we were preparing to tape back to episodes of a cooking show, and then actually eating a bit of his mushroom pate, which was layered with complex tastes that were set of by a light texture. I've really enjoy his photography on flickr. His done a few stunning landscapes. His attention to light and detail, in his food photographs on flickr, are quite magnificent. Here is a man who loves food, cooking, presenting and photographing it, with all the seriousness in deserves.
